About this artwork
In my work "A Candle for the World" I combine expressionism with futuristic elements to convey a profound message. The central candle, painted in vibrant acrylic colors, symbolizes hope and piercing light in the midst of dark times. The contrast between the bright yellow and the deep black evokes a sense of renewal and eternal survival spirit. This artwork is intended to be not only a visual enhancement to any space, but also a daily reminder of… the power of hope and humanity.
Nicola Quici is an Italian-German painter, graphic artist and sculptor with EU Gold Medal. where his works have been and continue to be exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. He uses art as a means of communicating passions and emotions, creating new futuristic and semi-abstract paintings that cross stylistic boundaries to explore a form of expression. The artist sends the viewer on a journey of discovery. Quici's aim is - evidently - the absolute interplay of colour and form. This is most evident in depictions that consist of just a few brushstrokes.
