About this artwork
In my artwork, I created a space with oils that combines both figurative and futuristic elements. Red, life-sized figures contrast with bright yellow birds floating between them. They represent the human struggle with freedom and isolation. The semi-abstract and futuristic backgrounds reinforce the feeling of an uncertain future. This painting is intended to evoke in the viewer a reflection on the connection between humanity and the desire for freedom,… and to be energetic and thoughtful at the same time.
Nicola Quici is an Italian-German painter, graphic artist and sculptor with EU Gold Medal. where his works have been and continue to be exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. He uses art as a means of communicating passions and emotions, creating new futuristic and semi-abstract paintings that cross stylistic boundaries to explore a form of expression. The artist sends the viewer on a journey of discovery. Quici's aim is - evidently - the absolute interplay of colour and form. This is most evident in depictions that consist of just a few brushstrokes.
