Embrace the profound journey of self-discovery with "The Only Way is Through," an intimate artwork, rendered on fine art paper, that blends the fluidity of watercolor with the delicate detail of colored pencil. Subtle touches of glitter add a unique luminescence to the whimsical and introspective atmosphere.
The piece evokes a sense of spiritual clarity, born from accepting life's dualities and finding wisdom in nature. A woman gazes forward, wisps… of her hair merging with surrounding vines, while a tree blossoms from her crown, symbolizing growth and interconnectedness. This is an earnest exploration of healing and the mystical ties that bind us to the natural world.
Perfect for a cozy nook or a personal sanctuary, this small but impactful piece will bring a touch of serenity to your space. The gentle palette of pale yellow, burnt umber, and turquoise creates both an earthy and otherworldly aura. It arrives matted in a 9" x 12" solid oak wood frame, ready to hang and inspire.
Nicole Sylvia Javorsky (b. 1995) is a multidisciplinary artist from New York City whose work explores the intersection of healing from trauma, a mystical connection to nature, and existential questions through visual art, music, and writing. Nicole has exhibited her paintings, drawings, and mixed-media works at The Other Art Fair, Clio Art Fair, Staten Island Museum, Pelham Art Center, Yellow Studio, and others. A finalist for the 2025 Singulart Prize, her art has been featured in Mud Season Review, Moonday Mag, and Studio Visit Magazine.
Nicole's writing and musical projects as a singer-songwriter, such as her 2025 album and live performance A wildflower grows from the cracks in the sidewalk, are interconnected with her visual art series, including her current body of work, Whispers Among the Trees. In her newsletter Chicken Doodle Soup, she writes soulful reflections that integrate her interdisciplinary art-making with observations about the beauty and pain of being alive.
