About this artwork
This work consists of two separate paintings. In this piece, I deliberately played with strong contrasts and clear forms to create both tension and tranquility. Acrylic paint lends the surfaces depth and texture, inviting the viewer to question the boundaries of space and time. This abstract interplay encourages reflection and brings a powerful yet balanced energy to any room.

Nicole Preisler is a painter from Zurich who now lives in Chur and works primarily with acrylics, oils, and pastels. In her self-taught, experimental approach, she explores textures and the flow of colors, drawing inspiration from both inner and outer natural worlds. Her intuitive style and free composition create works that are intended as an invitation to self-discovery and contemplation. Her art touches gently or powerfully and is always an expression of deeply felt emotions and quiet impulses.
I work without instructions or a fixed plan, intuitively and process-oriented. My sense of color and form guides me. For me, a white canvas doesn't represent emptiness, but rather attention – it demands slowness, intimacy, and close observation.
