About this artwork
The artwork shows a woman in an elegant pose and an intense gaze. The image is divided down the middle by demarcated dollar bills dividing the artwork in half. Kissing mouths and a variety of colorful symbols and shapes stretch out on both sides of the image. Colors are vibrant and bold while shapes are wild and creative. The symbolism of money and love is woven together through the delimited dollar bills and the kissing mouths. The artwork seems… to make a statement about the contrasts in life - between love and money, between the personal and the public. The colorful symbols and shapes that cover the entire artwork remind viewers that life is full of surprises and adventures and that no matter how tough life can get, there is always room for beauty and creativity.
