About this artwork
The starting point for this work is one of my poems, which deals with beginnings, ends, and new beginnings. Everything is connected to everything else and forms the cycle of life. We are safe in the universe, which carries and protects us.
There is no need to be afraid, because everything is in order and makes sense.
Sky and sea embody birth and death, the two constants in our lives. Between them lies our life on Earth, which we should truly live.… That is our purpose on Earth. The blue area represents both sky and sea, merging seamlessly into one another. At the top right of the image is the starfish, now in the sky (or is it the sea?).
