About this artwork
An urban skyscraper is captured from an unconventional, oblique perspective and distorted through intensely heightened color. As part of the Oblique Worlds series, the photograph shifts familiar spatial orientation and transforms architectural structure into a visually unstable, almost abstract appearance. The image explores the dissolution of the familiar and opens up a perception that oscillates between reality and distortion.
Limited edition… of 10 copies in the size 75 × 50 cm.
Nina Kollmann, PhD, works with photography, drawing her artistic expression from an intensive academic career and inspiring experiences as a trained safari ranger. Her technique combines classic photography with pop art style, vibrant colors, experimental compositing, and the interplay between reality and fantasy. In her works, she creates surreal, powerful compositions that convey intense emotions through light, perspective, and multiple exposure effects. Her art conveys hope, courage, and confidence, inviting viewers to find inner strength in the refuge of their own "bubble of hope."
