About this artwork
This artwork emerged from a desire to blend the surreal with the symbolic, using simple ink to craft intricate stories. My vision encapsulated the human form, surrounded and partly obscured by ethereal flora, hinting at the delicate dance between reality and imagination. These black inked blossoms symbolize the dark, unknown recesses of our minds, while the central figure represents the self, anchored yet dreamlike. This piece invites viewers into…
a contemplative narrative, urging them to ponder the mystique of their own subconscious. It's a visual whisper, a summon to introspection and dream, designed to add a touch of enigmatic beauty to any space.

Nina Murashkina is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Montenegro and Germany. In addition, her art is featured in the permanent collection of the Odesa Fine Art Museum (Ukraine). Although her works are often autobiographical, she garners inspiration from archaic matriarchy, femininity, and magical feminism. Murashkina's vibrant figurative compositions are most often created with acrylics on canvas.
