About this artwork
In this vibrant acrylic creation, I explore the surreal and symbolic realms of love and identity. The central figure, adorned with a heart and a theatrical mask, embodies the paradoxes of love—its visibility and concealment, its gravity and whimsy. Cradling ethereal birds, she symbolizes the delicate balance of nurturing and letting go. The vivid red backdrop enhances the emotional intensity, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences of…
love and the masks we wear. This painting pulsates with passion and mystery, designed to ignite conversation and emotional resonance in any space it inhabits.

Nina Murashkina is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Montenegro and Germany. In addition, her art is featured in the permanent collection of the Odesa Fine Art Museum (Ukraine). Although her works are often autobiographical, she garners inspiration from archaic matriarchy, femininity, and magical feminism. Murashkina's vibrant figurative compositions are most often created with acrylics on canvas.
