“I thought for a long time that painting came to me naturally, almost innately. It’s strange to think that my subjects, my compositions and their plastic arrangements might not be directly influenced by an experience,” confides the artist Nolwenn Samson. Staging saturated with impacts, off-centered chromies for wide-eyed eyes… The painter from Salon recounts the rises and falls of intrepid blondes, grappling… with handsome, agitated bearded brunettes. Characters whose moods oscillate between revolvers, motorcycles and strong quotes, under the gaze of an amused domestic bestiary: “with a mother who taught dance and a father who had created a photo lab where I spent my days, I found myself carried away by dense creative flows from childhood, between images, new music and ballet.”
