About this artwork
I simply captured the skate rebellion and the freedom of moving on the concrete "waves." I wanted to portray that era in the beginnings of one of the precursors of the scene who later laid the foundations of skate culture, using chalk to give it texture and evoke that force that represented freedom and the passion of sliding fearlessly against everything.
