About this artwork
Boiled egg, piping hot, our Earth. This is the translation of the Chinese characters on the work. The cinnabar red seal: Dahai, The sea, my first name. My work as an artist, for the most part, involves copying the calligraphy of the great old masters. Apart from this daily exercise, a few small things overflow and form a series: Fragment of ink.

He evokes a mixture of wash and a technique known as JI MO, symbolizing accumulated ink.
