About this artwork
Not many flowers are quite such showstoppers as the delicate winter snowdrops. Snowdrops from my garden are shown at magnification so you can see their beauty, original structure and delicacy.

Olga Akimtseva is a botanical artist originally from Moscow, now based in Serbia. After a successful 25-year career in finance, she fully devoted herself to botanical painting in 2021. A graduate with distinction from the Society of Botanical Artists (UK), she is a member of the SBA (UK), ASBA (USA), and SABA (Russia). Olga works in multilayered watercolor, focusing on flowers and their natural transformation. Her goal is to capture the fleeting beauty of plants with scientific accuracy and emotional depth. Her works have been exhibited internationally, including in UK, Thailand, Taiwan, Serbia, Russia. In 2024, she received the "Exhibiting Excellence in Watercolor" award at the SBA Plantae exhibition. Her work will also be shown at SBA Plantae 2025 at Mall Galleries, London.
