About this artwork
This artwork is a vibrant homage to the Mainz Carnival – a cultural spectacle that unites tradition, joie de vivre, and satirical spirit. The composition is lively, detailed, and rich in symbolism – a visual feast that reflects the "fifth season" in all its splendor. Technique & Execution: The painting was created using high-quality acrylic paints on a specially prepared metal plate. The metal surface was pre-bent, giving the artwork stability.… A sheet of plexiglass is attached to the back of the plate and painted in such a way that the area depicting the sky and some decorative elements appears transparent. This adds further interplay of color and light to the image, making the entire colorful composition even more attractive and intriguing. The back of the metal plate has two pre-drilled holes for easy and secure wall mounting on any wall.
Olga Milova uses watercolor, acrylic, oil, ink, and pastel, as well as structural materials, inspired by her architectural training in Ukraine. Using combined techniques and flowing lines, she creates harmonious, profound compositions that poetically unite nature, flowers, feminine forms, and architecture. Her works exude an atmosphere of calm, balance, and quiet, timeless beauty.
