About this artwork
In this oil painting, I sought to capture a vibrant, shifting energy, where the colors express the tension between chaos and harmony. The semi-abstract expressionism allows the viewer to feel the intense emotions that swept through me, with fluid forms and vibrant contrasts. This painting will infuse your interior with a profound dynamism, vibrant with an almost organic and luminous force.
Born on March 26, 1947 in Chomutov (Western Bohemia in Czechoslovakia), she spent her childhood and youth in Karlovy Vary, where she obtained her baccalaureate and pursued higher education in languages and tourism economics.
At the same time, she also took Fine Arts classes with Professor Ludva.
In 1968, she left Czechoslovakia during the Prague Spring and settled in Munich, Germany. She then continued her painting studies with Professor Hinsch in Göttingen, Germany.
From 1979 onwards, Olga Schrufer Kozlova exhibited her works in many countries, including Germany, France, Monaco, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the United States, and Canada. Her paintings are now part of private and public collections in those same countries, as well as in Austria and the Netherlands.
She subsequently lived for several years on the French Riviera and in Florida. Today, she lives and paints near Étretat.
