About this artwork
In this work, which I created with acrylic, graphite and chalk, I explore the fluid boundary between dream and reality. By letting the pen or brush run half-awake, images are created in whose lines and shapes spontaneous 'messages and notations of the unconscious' try to express themselves. This automatic drawing becomes a game with the empty surface, on which a few lines and abstract abbreviations condense into a field of tension and a weightless,… vibrating fabric. The result is a calligraphy that is alien to us and can only be deciphered in the picture and is reminiscent of organic structures. The abstract and surreal elements merge with pop art and metaphysical accents, creating a visual poetry that invites us to reflect on the complexity of our inner life. This painting brings a dynamic and inspiring energy to every room, enlivens the wall and inspires us to think anew every day.
Oliver Euler, painter and draftsman, explores the universe with automatism and intuition. His chalky graphite lines unfold a poetic field of tension in a spontaneous gesture. His works convey a feeling for the infinite in the finite, a palpability of archaic truths.
