About this artwork
Dave and David, a couple created in 2020 for the series "Heads." Homosexuality is still a taboo subject. I address it to raise awareness that everyone has the right to live out their sexuality as they choose.
The colors are deliberately bright and vibrant. Red and green, as well as blue, create a strong contrast, generating tension within the image. Dave and David gaze directly at the viewer, unsure of their reaction. They are both drawn to each… other, yet their eyes remain turned outwards. The uncertainty lingers.
