About this artwork

This is a blazing sunset over the ocean. In my Deep style, made of a succession of layers, like a deep introspection to meet my essence. The more I free my soul with this work/game of turning within me, the more I have the capacity to marvel and nourish myself with the "simple" sight of a sunset. Also, in this scene the sun marries the ocean; the ocean symbolizes the unconscious: the sun joining it, it allows to highlight layers of the unconscious.… Finally, the symbolism of the masculine (sun) and the feminine (ocean), symbolizing the union of our polarities (rational self/intuitive self, intellect/soul, thinking/feeling) in order to find an inner harmony and allow step by step to hear/feel the voice of our soul, so that our actions in the world are deeply inspired and just. It is also and always a work beyond words: the vibration of colors opens hearts and offers each person their own revelations.

Olivia de Posson is a Belgian artist whose work explores the meeting point between matter, energy and inner consciousness. Her paintings blend color as vibration, intuitive calligraphy, poetic elements and symbolic forms into a unified visual language.

Working across canvas, paper, plexiglass and light, she creates spaces of resonance — artworks that invite viewers to reconnect with presence, clarity and their own inner landscape.

Originally trained in finance, her path shifted after a profound inner awakening in 2018, leading her to fully embrace painting as her vocation.

Her work has been exhibited internationally (Saatchi Gallery - London, Art Miami, Context Art Miami, NYC, Dubai, Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris, Bordeaux, Knokke, etc) and is held in private collections worldwide.
