About this artwork
In this acrylic and charcoal painting, I wanted to blend different metaphors. The female body is not there to seduce but to symbolize interiority, sensitivity, and silent resistance. The curved, almost fetal posture can be seen as a return to origins—a spiritual gestation. It could be seen as a state of deep meditation, where the self dissolves to join something larger.
The absence of bright color and the contrast between black and white recall… fundamental polarities (shadow/light, chaos/harmony, matter/spirit).
Thus, the figure seems to be on the border between two states: confinement and liberation, solitude and union with an absolute. She is as if suspended in a passage, perhaps in the process of being reborn into a new consciousness.
