About this artwork
"Light on the Tide" is part of the Memories of the Sea series, where seascapes adopt a vertical format to become veritable windows to the sea within the domestic space. This choice is not accidental: the sea ceases to be presented as a distant horizon and is transformed into an intimate and ascending journey, inviting us to immerse ourselves in memory, color, and gesture.
The works are constructed through chromatic layers where blues, turquoises,… ochres, and warm accents converse like overlapping memories. The free gesture and taut lines evoke currents and tides that are more emotional than descriptive. In the distance, lighthouses appear as symbols of orientation and permanence, anchoring the composition and activating the narrative of memory. This 130 x 72 cm canvas is ideal for a 120 x 62 x 3.5 cm stretcher bar (stretcher not included).
