I try to capture the magic of those unforgettable westerns with these simple scenes. This is a nostalgic wink for all those who remember those old cowboy movies.
In this work, I capture the calm and poetic essence of twilight, using watercolors to capture the silhouette of the cowboys and their faithful canine companion against a vibrant and changing sky. Each brushstroke evokes a sense of unwavering camaraderie… and adventure, reflecting a journey that persists beyond the visual horizon. This piece invites you to reflect on the serenity and grandeur of nature, offering a visual and emotional respite in any space.
In all my paintings I use materials and mediums of the highest quality, resistant to the passage of time.

Oscar Alvarez Pardo is an experienced Spanish painter with international exposure. Composing acrylic and watercolor works on paper, he stylistically switches between the realistic and fantastical whilst maintaining an emotional narrative line in each piece. Inspired by Edward Hopper and Steve Hanks, he represents themes such as tenderness, romance and loneliness with equal parts observational sensitivity and nostalgic cheekiness.
