About this artwork
Inhuman animals. Animal-like humans. A thousand beasts sewn from scraps. // Monk birds. Colors. Nitrate bombs. Polluted beaches of fine sand. // This is how the steps of our contemporary society are written. Su-Realism. Fertile scenarios of harsh truths. Illusions. Hopes. Dreams buried under the rage of spun silk.
Oscar Cambra Moo is a painter and conceptual artist with a background in Biological Sciences and Paleontology, who explores the fusion of art and science in his work. He employs mixed media such as acrylic, oil, watercolors, inks, and collage to create dreamlike worlds that verge on the surreal and poetic, with interplays of textures and transparencies that evoke organic mutations. His work conveys both admiration and unease in the face of the degradation of nature, inviting the viewer to reflect on the beauty, mystery, and fragility of the human connection with the natural world.
