"Tronco Chuleta NOCTURNA" (2022) is an oneiric study on the friction between living matter and structural definition.
This painting, executed in acrylic and enamel, operates as an expanded painting whose material density and the volume of the stretcher enhance its presence.
The title evokes the organic brutality and visceral fluidity of a cut of meat. The nocturnal atmosphere transforms this trunk/meat into an almost oneiric apparition, a dreamed… body whose composition imposes a rigid geometry. This geometric pattern is established as a code of contrast between the fluidity of the meaty element and the firm structure of the wood.
The work is a profound meditation on form: a pictorial hybridisation that freezes the carnal and organic into a rigid structure, exploring the relationship between fluid gesturality and the necessity of code in contemporary existence.
