About this artwork
I created this work with a blend of passion and mystery, channeling tradition and innovation through an expressionist and surrealist lens that inspired the portraits of Michelangelo Buonarroti, Leonardo da Vinci, and Donatello. The glimpses of Giotto's bell tower and Florence Cathedral, which frame the celebrated figures, represent the duality between the past and dreamlike visions of the future, with oil on canvas conveying tangible emotions in… a dialogue between reality and fantasy. This painting is an invitation to reflection, a visual journey that will enrich any space with its warmth and depth.
The work, including frame, measures 86 cm wide, 116 cm high and 3.5 cm deep.
« 'Beauty will save the world' by Dostoevsky is a symbolic phrase for me because of the therapeutic, magical, and mysterious content inherent in the logic of art. »
