About this artwork
Design inspired by people in historical dress looking out from the balcony in times of pandemic, during which the initiative of daily sharing of dances, songs and music radiated from the balconies was taken in unison. Places that have become symbolic for having played a fundamental role: the space where there was an opening during the closure imposed by the health emergency. Outdoor domestic shelters, rich in resources and fascinating in their adaptation…
to changes in the weather, representing union in a period of solitude, diluted in a harmonious network of virtual hugs. This work captures the essence of suspended and reflective moments. The poetry of everyday life is infused in these figures, intensified by the use of India ink and colored pencils. Expressionism and realism blend to enhance emotions. This design brings a contemplative and inspiring energy to the home environment, inviting us to grasp the beauty in the silent details of existence.

Paola Imposimato is an award-winning painter and draftsman whose works have been extensively exhibited throughout her native Italy, as well as in Austria and France. She defines her artistic style as "contemporary Renaissance", as it has a solid figurative base that is also structured on Greco-Roman art. Imposimato is often inspired by portraiture (of real and imaginary characters), the range of human emotions, poetry, historical re-enactments, the world of music and theater.
