Paola Vignola, Italian by birth, uses acrylics, plaster, and other materials. With a background that combines the structure of Milan with the creative freedom of Barcelona, my artistic practice is characterized by a bold use of color. My focus is on the contemporary reactivation of historical images and surface wear, using my knowledge of restoration metaphorically: fragmentation, repair, and new textures that give a contemporary identity to figures from our cultural past.
