About this artwork
In this work, I explored the intrinsic beauty and universality of numbers through an abstract and geometric visual language. Using acrylic, I shaped a swirl of black numbers on a white background, representing the chaos and order in our daily lives. Each number, despite being a simple symbol, vibrates with its own energy, transforming the space into a fascinating and stimulating visual dialogue. Paolo Grassi is a Swiss conceptual artist, author of the project “From '0' to Infinity”, which since 2007 has explored the language of numbers as an art form.
Each work is a unique and unrepeatable “Element”, part of an infinite narrative made of different materials, techniques and meanings.
The artist considers his research as a “hymn to the energy of numbers and their ability to generate invisible connections between people”.
His works range from sculpture to painting, from performance to installation.
“I seek the balance between order and chaos, between mathematical rationality and creative impulse,” says Grassi, for whom “even a single fragment can contain the entire universe.” Over 285 works already created are now distributed in public and private collections.
Each new creation is an invitation to reflect on time, identity and infinity.
