About this artwork
In my work, I explored the tension between freedom and confinement through vibrant collage and the impactful use of oil. Open hands symbolize emotional liberation, almost an explosion of contained energy and passion. The blended textures and contrasting colors invoke deep reflection on personal barriers and their breaking. This art brings a breath of liberating energy and internal dialogue into the home of those who observe it.

Paolo Mori (Colleferro 1967) is a self-taught artist active in Pescara, whose painting practice lies between figuration and the conceptual construction of the image. Alongside his scientific training in engineering, he developed a growing interest in contemporary art, fueled by his frequent visits to Roman galleries and by a family background sensitive to artistic practice. His research articulates across diverse representational registers, reflecting a complex investigation of the relationships between nature, science, and spirituality, as well as the relationship between reality, perception, and the cultural construction of the image. Mori's work is a layered reflection on images, cultural memory, spirituality, science, and nature. His primary interest lies in investigating the relationships between these fields, constantly questioning what is perceived as real.
