About this artwork
In this work, I explored the fusion of collage and watercolor to capture the celestial warrior under the moonlight. The central figure, erect and resolute, symbolizes human strength and courage, contrasting with the immensity of the universe surrounding her. Each element of the collage serves to reinforce the narrative of resilience, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own inner strength. The intense starry sky and detailed moon add depth and… mystery, creating an environment that inspires and captivates.
Paolo Mori (Colleferro 1967) is a self-taught artist active in Pescara, whose painting practice lies between figuration and the conceptual construction of the image. Alongside his scientific training in engineering, he developed a growing interest in contemporary art, fueled by his frequent visits to Roman galleries and by a family background sensitive to artistic practice. His research articulates across diverse representational registers, reflecting a complex investigation of the relationships between nature, science, and spirituality, as well as the relationship between reality, perception, and the cultural construction of the image. Mori's work is a layered reflection on images, cultural memory, spirituality, science, and nature. His primary interest lies in investigating the relationships between these fields, constantly questioning what is perceived as real.
