About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the coexistence of technology and nature, expressing the contrast through the dynamism of a modern military aircraft flying across a sky of warm and tumultuous colors. The fusion of oil and collage accentuates textures and gives depth, highlighting the tension between technological power and the majestic tranquility of the environment. The emotion and energy conveyed by this piece can transform any space, bringing… a sense of movement and reflection.
Paolo Mori (Colleferro 1967) is a self-taught artist active in Pescara, whose painting practice lies between figuration and the conceptual construction of the image. Alongside his scientific training in engineering, he developed a growing interest in contemporary art, fueled by his frequent visits to Roman galleries and by a family background sensitive to artistic practice. His research articulates across diverse representational registers, reflecting a complex investigation of the relationships between nature, science, and spirituality, as well as the relationship between reality, perception, and the cultural construction of the image. Mori's work is a layered reflection on images, cultural memory, spirituality, science, and nature. His primary interest lies in investigating the relationships between these fields, constantly questioning what is perceived as real.
