About this artwork
I immersed myself in the heart of the Venice Carnival, a legendary event of mystery and magic.
"I was standing in the dark night. From afar a song came to me, golden drops trickled down the trembling face of the water.
Gondolas, lights, music... All this was sailing towards dusk..."
This pastel was made for the 20th anniversary of the Feytiat International Pastel Festival which brought together the MASTER PASTELISTS of the Society of Pastel Artists… of France and whose theme was celebration. It is made on cardboard for good conservation.
« I would like to paint the essence of life, that which generates enthusiasm. »
