About this artwork
Among the objects that PatMoli has revisited, his snowboard crosses a new frontier, that of the everyday object carrying messages. On this surf, she wanted to reconstruct a seabed as a reminder that the plastic that composes it is a potential future danger. The awareness of the surfer has thus made it possible to redirect the object towards its new function, that of becoming an artistic work. This connection between the object and the artist is certainly… not new. PatMoli once again makes its mark on humanistic shores by drawing our attention to the disappearance of corals. Already bleached, skeletal, it is too late for the one depicted in the work. Let's work so that the corals of the marion beds no longer bleach!
« Create with humor! Color is life, we must not lose sight of the fact that we are alive and that we share our feelings. »
PatMoli, a colorist and alumna of the Boulle School in Paris, is distinguished by the richness and diversity of her themes, exploring with a unique sensitivity topics as varied as women's freedom, environmental preservation, ecosystems, and animals. Her art has been featured in the Gazette des Arts and internationally and demonstrates a great poetic sensibility. Her imaginary landscapes and coral reefs demonstrate a deep commitment to environmental causes. She successfully captures the beauty and fragility of our planet, creating works that inspire both wonder and awareness. Her use of animals as totems is particularly powerful, symbolizing both our transformations and our vulnerabilities. These monumental representations challenge and invite the viewer to reflect on our place in the natural world and our responsibility towards other species.
