About this artwork
The sun was dipping down behind the row of houses and a fox came out to drink from the rain water. This had formed a puddle and the Fox was thirsty. It was late Autumn and the trees had shed their leaves and the sunset was highlighted in the outline of the trees. The Fox was also caught in the rays of the sunset - it was a magical momentI captured with my camera. I rushed home and sketched out the scene while it was fresh in my mind. My pastels…

Patricia Clements is a British contemporary artist who lives and works in London. She a scholarship student at West Sussex College of Arts and Crafts and later studied at the Central School of Art, where she was influenced by then Head of Painting, Leslie Cole. Clements paints landscapes, cityscapes and still lifes. Her work is characterized by strong lines and shapes as well as the use of bright, dense colors.
