About this artwork
In this work, I capture the vibrant essence of a shared moment. Using vivacious touches of oil, I evoke the fleeting emotions and simple joy of dance and human connection. This painting, infused with a bright impressionist palette, brings a warm energy, evoking carefree and festive days into any living space. These taverns are most often found on the banks of the Seine or the Marne near Paris.
Patrick Marie is an experienced artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Having painted with oils for over fifty years, he was originally inspired by the impressionists. However, Marie's approach is abstract in nature and always starts from a concrete motif. For him, "art is felt" and it is a question of emotion, harmony, elegance, and the heart.
