About this artwork
Human beings live and try to survive even though they know that sooner or later they will all die out. It focuses on this transitory, ephemeral, and sad reality of human life. Thus, it is a juxtaposition of a beautiful woman portrait and the rusted metal and broken wood materials to suggest all will be gone. I want to make my art as a pre-requiem or pre-elegy for human existence in this secular world.
