Some people burn and we exploit the planet to make money (without any intrinsic value) then they create foundations which they finance in order to try to rebuild what they have previously destroyed ... When the earth is burnt, it is difficult to cultivate it. Bezos syndrome represents the stupidity of the motive that prompts man to act.
The work is framed by a frame too large to express that it is urgent to change the frame if we want to improve… our society. Three pennies hang over the burnt wood to symbolize man's way of destroying his resources and imagining that money could fix everything. Very symbolic work, chosen by the Italian curator Roberto Ronca for the exhibition "humans rights @ work" (finishing October 2020.
The work exists in two copies, only one of which is for sale, the other being intended for a business school.
« Art doesn't have to be beautiful to be appreciated, it has to be universal. »
