In this work, I wanted to capture the essence of communication and its inherent chaos. The abstract and expressionist wax strokes, in red and black on the paper, symbolize the hubbub of human conversations. Each brand is a voice, an idea, sometimes a cry – all overlapping in symbolic space. It's a visual representation of our interactions, a constant dialogue that sometimes seems like nothing more than "blah blah", but which, as a whole, forms the… fabric of our connection.
« Art doesn't have to be beautiful to be appreciated, it has to be universal. »
Paul Yves Poumay is an experienced multidisciplinary artist based in Belgium whose works have been exhibited in France, Spain, the United States, and Italy. In addition, his art has been featured in publications such as The London Art Review, LA CITTA IMAGINARIA, CHIASMO, etc. Poumay describes his pieces as often being symbolic, exploring humanity and its place in the world. His artistic approach is mainly optimistic and turned towards others, frequently treating his subjects with absurdity.
