About this artwork
Against a black background, a structure of white lines crisscrosses in zigzags in different directions, forming red-colored triangles. It is intended to be an image of chaos; the sharp points and the red color accentuate an image of aggression and violence. The title is reminiscent of the Russian Revolution of October 1917.
Pedro Mora Frutos primarily uses acrylic on canvas and printmaking techniques such as woodcut, lithography, and pochoir. He trained at the University of Seville and has over 45 years of experience participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His style explores geometric and organic abstraction, fusing opposing currents in visually captivating and rigorously formalist pieces. His works invite a purely sensory and contemplative experience, evoking a profound aesthetic fascination and appealing to perception free from prejudice and external distractions.
