About this artwork
The pin-up cliché of Audrey Hepburn revisited and worked in my own way. The artifice of makeup. Artificial beauty... Corrupted and manipulated to meet society's standards. The woman's face deteriorates when mascara is applied (the bleeding finger) revealing her dark side.

Pejman Ebadi, self-taught since his Parisian childhood, uses acrylic as his medium. His distinct style blends the abstract and the figurative, questioning the animal, plant, and mineral kingdoms through the exploration of his subconscious. Ebadi instills an emotional duality, alternating between shadow and light, to evoke deep emotions, sometimes revealing traces of shamanism throughout his work.
