About this artwork
On the edge of the afterlife, reigns the celestial body of a bird-headed goddess (incarnation of a divinity from the Egyptian pantheon), her astral body is decomposing. Her hand rests on a skull, evoking the decay of time. An albino snake crosses it, bringing a biblical dimension to the scene.
Pejman Ebadi, self-taught since his Parisian childhood, uses acrylic as his medium. His distinct style blends the abstract and the figurative, questioning the animal, plant, and mineral kingdoms through the exploration of his subconscious. Ebadi instills an emotional duality, alternating between shadow and light, to evoke deep emotions, sometimes revealing traces of shamanism throughout his work.
