About this artwork
The late visionary Masaru Emoto conducted fascinating experiments with water. He filled drops of water into small bowls and froze them. He photographed the resulting ice crystals under a microscope at 200x magnification. This revealed an astonishing phenomenon: the shape of the crystals changed depending on the external influences to which the water was exposed before freezing. According to Emoto, even words could influence the structure of water.…
Negative terms led to distorted, inharmonious crystals, while positive words produced aesthetically pleasing, symmetrical crystals. I captured some of these examples using acrylic on canvas.

Peppi Spiss is a painter and draftsman based in Austria whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Hungary, the United States, Italy, Germany, and Turkey. He describes his artistic practice as occuring impulsively and being marked by experimentation with varying techniques. Whether abstract or realistic, Spiss's pieces are always an expression of his personal atttitude towards life.
