About this artwork
In my works, I engage in an intuitive exploration of colour, line, and form, constructing abstract compositions that move between the geometric and the organic. Through my imagination, I delve into themes of flight — both literal and metaphorical — drawing on imagery of aeroplanes, spacecraft, glimpses of strange creatures, and the infinite expanse of the cosmos. Each piece reflects an inner journey into imagined realities and speculative worlds…
beyond our own.
I am particularly drawn to vivid, saturated colour combinations, often placing carefully considered, precise elements in contrast with expressive, gestural brushwork. This interplay between control and spontaneity is central to my visual language.
My inspiration stems from a variety of sources, including the visionary worlds of science fiction cinema, the pioneering achievements of early aviators, and the radical formal experiments of early 20th-century Cubism and Modernist art.
