About this artwork
My last painting paint, befor I'd finished my Art studies in Basle Switzerland. The woodenframe, where the canfas is installed on is from my great-grandfather, who lived in France for several years in 1910. It was a challenge to get the wooden frame on which the canvas is installed at the right angle. In his honour, I named the painting GOLEM, which is an integral part of Prague's history, as the Jewish community has always been very strong there.… In the first few years and during my studies I often painted with egg tempera, as the depth of colour can be greater than with acrylic. But in the meantime I have found a way to combine acrylic colours with depth.
