About this artwork
In this work, I captured the stillness surrounding winter using acrylics, charcoal, and spray paint. The abstract forms reflect the cold and the raw feeling of a silent forest. While painting, I experienced the forest's stillness, which simultaneously gave me energy that I could store deep within my heart. This resulted in a wonderful small series of three works, Winter Blues I to III. These works are intended to put the viewer in a contemplative…
mood, almost as if one were immersing oneself in a frosty winter landscape. Through this immersion and engagement with the work, a sense of peace arises within us. This peace brings energy and, at the same time, a certain dynamic force to any space.
