Old agricultural chains were mainly made by blacksmiths and show the evidence of hand.
Often discarded and left to erode they provide a fascinating resource, open to be reworked and displayed in a new form as relics with presence.
An irregular and swaying collection of chain-links spring from a rugged Cornish granite base. Finished in a regal purple, the colour indicates a majestic past.
Each hand-forged metal link, deliberately intertwined, symbolizes… strength and continuity.
