About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to explore the multiplicity of perspectives, emotions, and identities. The central face symbolizes the core of our being, while the colored shapes surrounding it represent how we perceive ourselves and how the world reflects back to us an image that is sometimes faithful, sometimes distorted.
The large eyes at the top are like higher consciousnesses, or perhaps silent witnesses. The faces below, on the other hand, embody our… own masks, those we wear depending on the moment or the people we encounter.
I sought an aesthetic that was both vibrant and harmonious, almost hypnotic, to remind us that our inner life is a perpetual kaleidoscope. Nothing is fixed: forms come together, separate, and recompose, and yet everything remains coherent. It is this inner dance that I wanted to reveal here.
« My world is that of an eternal teenager, who, thanks to colors, invents new horizons. »
Philippe Seigle, a painter based in France, has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Brazil, Italy, the United States, Mexico, and Morocco. Having lived in several exotic countries, Seigle was influenced by and has kept his penchant for bright colors. Describing himself as a naive colorist, his compositions feature characters whose paths intersect. His vibrant pieces are created using acrylics on canvas.
