About this artwork
This painting, which I titled “The Master of Moments,” was born from a mixture of feelings, memories, faces encountered during my travels… and from this question that I often ask myself: who are we behind our appearances?
I wanted to represent a universal character. He could be from here or elsewhere. He's made up like a clown, like a theater mask... but it's not a disguise. On the contrary, it's a way of saying what we don't say. A tear runs under… his eye—but he also carries, in his gaze, two words that are essential to me: Freedom and Multiculture.
Two words that undoubtedly sum up my own journey and my relationship with the world. I have had the chance to live in many countries, to discover very different cultures, and I have learned that our richness lies in our differences. That art can connect what society divides. Acrylic on canvas 65x54

Philippe Seigle, a painter based in France, has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Brazil, Italy, the United States, Mexico, and Morocco. Having lived in several exotic countries, Seigle was influenced by and has kept his penchant for bright colors. Describing himself as a naive colorist, his compositions feature characters whose paths intersect. His vibrant pieces are created using acrylics on canvas.
