In creating this piece, I poured my soul into harnessing the chaos and vibrancy of nature a symphony of colors. Using pastel, pencil, and oil pastel on paper, I explored abstract and expressionist techniques to evoke a sense of movement and intensity. Each stroke is a reflection of fleeting impressions, my intent to capture the essence of the environment after days of rain. This artwork, alive with emotion, will energize and inspire any space, inviting… viewers to explore their own depths.
« My works are colorful, optimistic, vibrating, living with the changing daylight, and offering the spectator room to contemplate. I enjoy cooperating with specific commissions. »
Pia Andersen's works have been featured in solo exhibitions in her native Denmark, as well as in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Norway, and Germany. Nature and light are her principal inspirations, though she does not seek its realistic portrayal. Instead, Andersen's paintings create a nature of their own, highlighting the positive side of living. Her artistic process is lengthy, as she takes her time building up many layers of oils on canvas.
