About this artwork
This painting was born from a vivid image: birch trees wrapped in a golden blanket. In my memory, the sketch I had sketched in the heart of the forest showed bare trees, a winter landscape that emanated a silent melancholy. But my eyes wanted to see something else - an explosion of heat and light.
I wanted to transform that scene, breathe new life into those trees. Each brushstroke was an act of rebellion against the grayness, a hymn to hope and… hidden beauty. I lost myself among the shades of gold and yellow, letting them envelop me like a comforting hug.
These colors are not just a visual representation, but a luminous energy that pervaded me during the creation. I hope that anyone who observes this painting can feel the same spark, the same warmth that illuminated my spirit.

Piero Casarin is an Italian painter and sculptor whose works have been widely exhibited throughout Italy. Piero is not content to represent reality objectively, but reworks it by sharing not only what he sees, but how he sees it.
Piero uses quality jute canvases that he assembles himself, also carrying out the necessary treatments to prepare them. As for the works on sheet metal, the material used comes from agricultural structures in the areas of Asolo and Monfumo, purchased directly from local farmers. The shaped cardboards are recovered from industries that use them to transport PVC reels.
His choice to paint on reused or self-prepared materials is fundamental: an attention to the ecological dimension of art.
It's time to dream, and to think. From July I will limit my artistic activity, and my online presence. Do not hesitate to contact me to receive information on paintings that you have seen in the past, or that you would like to see in the future.
