About this artwork
A work created to capture the connection between the abandoned place and the people who lived there, thus turning an abandoned factory into a witness to past histories. The windows of this disused factory on the outskirts of Treviso appear illuminated, conveying a sense of warmth and of life that persists despite abandonment. The bold colors lend strength and energy to the subject, which evokes a sense of hope and renewal, inviting us to seek beauty…
and meaning even in the abandoned.

Piero Casarin is an Italian painter and sculptor whose works have been widely exhibited throughout Italy. Piero is not content to represent reality objectively, but reworks it by sharing not only what he sees, but how he sees it.
Piero uses quality jute canvases that he assembles himself, also carrying out the necessary treatments to prepare them. As for the works on sheet metal, the material used comes from agricultural structures in the areas of Asolo and Monfumo, purchased directly from local farmers. The shaped cardboards are recovered from industries that use them to transport PVC reels.
His choice to paint on reused or self-prepared materials is fundamental: an attention to the ecological dimension of art.
It's time to dream, and to think. From July I will limit my artistic activity, and my online presence. Do not hesitate to contact me to receive information on paintings that you have seen in the past, or that you would like to see in the future.
